Halo Code adopted by all Melrose Education Schools
All schools across the Melrose Education group have today adopted the The Halo Code, the UK’s first Black hair code. The Halo Code explicitly protects the school’s community of staff and families with natural hair and protective hairstyles associated with their racial, ethnic, and cultural identities.
Tracey Storey, Executive Chair and CEO said, “at Melrose Education, we are absolutely committed to equality and diversity and the Halo Code is a fantastic way to embed this across our school communities and to celebrate cultural identity. We are delighted to have adopted it across our schools.”
